유럽 첫 탐사선 ‘마스 익스프레스’ 화성 적도부근 협곡 촬영전송 유럽 최초의 화성탐사선인 ‘마스 익스프레스’호가 27일 화성상공 250km에서 촬영해 전송한 오피르 카스마 협곡의 모습(위 사진). 이 협곡(아래 사진 위쪽)과 평행한 마리너리스 협곡(아래 사진의 아래쪽)은 화산활동과 단층활동에 의해 형성되었을 것으로 추정되고 있다. 마스 익스프레스호는 2003년 6월 발사돼 현재 화성 궤도를 돌고 있다.
