Unusual barley formation found at Wakerley village near Barrowden,
Leicestershire County, England on June 3, 2001 by Nick Nicholas. The year before on
June 6, 2000, another unusual pattern was found in Seaton southwest of Wakerly
defined by retarded growth in only the barley plants that made up the formation.

Crop Formation in Holland Changes with Researchers Present

Scorpion" crop formation in wheat discovered August 1, 2001 in Stadskanaal, Holland.
Eight circles are clearly seen in the "tail." A ninth circle emerged on August 7, 2001
while researchers were measuring and sampling plants from the formation.

409-circle, 787-foot diameter formation discovered Sunday, August 12 after a night of rain.
This wheat field is on the highest plateau of Milk Hill and the highest point in the county of
Wiltshire, England. The field is not visible from any road and to get there, people must walk about

The "binary code" on the left and "face" to the right in the wheat field near Chilbolton Observatory
near Wherwell, Hampshire, U. K. were first seen on different dates, according to a Chilbolton Observatory
employee. The "face" near top center was reported on Tuesday, August 14, 2001.

First Crop Formation Began Emerging on July 11, 2001
at Gog Magog Hills, Cambridge, England

The big ring, 666 feet in diameter, came first by itself on July 11, 2001. A week later around
July 18 the 237 feet diameter labyrinth emerged inside the ring. Then a few days after that,

Huge Hexagram Crop Formation
in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada

Red Deer and Lacombe are about 100 miles south of Edmonton, Alberta,
a larger city which has also had several crop formations in its fields since the late 1990s

Reported by farmer Ken Bickford on September 16, 2001 after he discovered the hexagram
in his Red Deer, Alberta wheat field from his combine harvester. The swath on the left
was his first drive through. After that, Mr. Bickford drove around the formation to preserve it.
Formation was 422 feet in diameter, Canada's largest so far. After news about it broke, a pilot acknowledged
